The DONN® ZXLA™ Ceiling Suspension System provides an affordable alternative to aluminum grid, offering superior corrosion resistance. It is compatible with all DX® suspension systems.The DONN® ZXLA™ Ceiling Suspension System is a fire-rated, 15/16" galvanized steel system that offers an affordable alternative to aluminum grid. Made of painted hot-dipped galvanized steel with an aluminum face, ZXLA grid can be installed in many environments where aluminum grid would normally be required, providing significant cost savings over all-aluminum or extruded systems. Its polyester paint finish and stainless steel clip provide unequaled corrosion protection.
Grid components are connected with plug-in positive-lock insertion. Patented QUICK-RELEASE™ cross tees are easy to remove without tools and help decrease renovation costs.
Standard cross tees have offset ends that rest on main tees for better appearance without sagging or twisting. The cross tees also cantilever during installation without dropping out. Special corrosion proof, stainless steel locking tee ends provide pullout tension values in excess of 200 lbs. A painted, hot-dipped galvanized M7Z wall molding is recommended for maximum system performance.
Design flexibility helps meet life safety codes. The system meets or exceeds all national code requirements, including seismic and fire-rated assemblies up to 2 hours, and lad compliance specifications per ASTM C635. Its aluminum-capped grid system, suitable for use in food processing areas, meets USDA/FSIS requirements.
